Maybilline Fit Me Foundation Review

Who would want to spend a lot when you can get the desired look with spending a little? Drugstore makeup brands have been doing a great job and have gained the limelight over the past few years. They are readily available in your nearby convenient stores/shops or malls. The best part about these brands now is you can also do a swatch test before buying it. Drugstore makeups are affordable and turn out to be best if you like to experiment with your looks every day. One of my favourite Drugstore brand that I prefer to use daily is Maybelline Fit Me Foundation-MATTE + PORELESS.

I am not a person who likes to overdo the makeup and prefers to keep it natural and of medium coverage. Almost three years ago, I came across this beautiful drugstore makeup brand, since then I have ditched all my BB & CC creams, and this Maybelline Fit Me foundation has been my constant.

Product Claims

This product claims to provide natural to medium coverage look along with pore-minimizing properties. Being a matte foundation, it helps in absorbing excess oil and provides a matte finish.

Fit Me Packaging

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

The Maybelline Fit Me Matte+ Poreless foundation comes in a transparent cuboid glass bottle with a black screw lid on the top which is well secured. The head of the cap displays the shade number and the name of the foundation. The bottle looks slim & elegant and is not too heavy. Since it’s a glass bottle, it does not seems to be very travel friendly. However, to make it travel friendly, they have similar shades available in mini plastic tubes. One thing that disappoints me a little about the packaging is its screw cap. The screw makes the process little messy, and the utility of the product decreases. If Maybelline had prepared the packaging with a pump, it would be an easy application process, and we would be able to use the maximum amount of product. In my initial days, I had to pour the product on the back of my hands and use it, which makes it little unhygienic. However, now alternatively, to minimize the wastage of the product and to use it hygienically (since my skin is acne-prone), I use this specially designed pump for FIT ME range.

Quantity and Price

Maybelline Fit me Foundation Price

For a beginner or someone who doesn’t look for heavy coverage regularly, I think Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is an excellent choice as it is very affordable. The quantity of the product is 30ML for INR-500-550 ($10-11, however usually on sale on amazon.com).

Availability

The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is easily available at your nearby convenience stores and is often on a discount at Amazon.com

Shelf Life

The shelf life of Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is remarkably enduring. It lasts for almost 36 months. However, for hygiene purpose, it is recommended to replace your foundation every year.

As I use this foundation regularly (sometimes twice a day), it lasts for almost 06 months and sometimes more.

Texture, Consistency and Fragrance

The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation has a very smooth and velvety texture which makes it very easy to stream on to the skin. The consistency of the product is little liquefied. Therefore you need to be cautious while spilling out the foundation from the bottle as it can lead to wastage of the product. The foundation has a very neutral fragrance and doesn’t irritate the nose.

Coverage & Building properties

The foundation has light to medium coverage with natural & dewy finish. While it says it gives a Matte finish, however, since I am from combination to sensitive skin family, it doesn’t mattify my skin but gives me a smooth gleaming finish. I also do get little scars here and there due to my acne problem, and this foundation works well in hiding those little monsters. The foundation is buildable, and you can reach medium to high coverage without looking cakey. It does not feel heavy on the face at all.

For someone with super oily skin, this product also works great. Prime your skin correctly, apply the foundation, lock it with loose powder, and you are good to go. You don’t have to worry about touch-ups at least for good 4-5 hours.

For someone with dry skin, a right amount of moisturizer to hydrate the skin before applying the foundation would be an ideal process.

For someone with sensitive skin, since I am one of them, it works great for me and does not promote breakouts.

Pore Minimising properties.

I am someone with visible pores on my cheek area. Maybelline Fit Me poreless foundation helps me in minimizing and blurring my ugly pores to a great extent and give a smooth and subtle makeup look.

Staying Capability.

The Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation stays on my skin for almost 6-7 hours without a touch-up. On a humid day, it usually stays for about 4-5 hours without any touch-up.

Does Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Oxides?

Considering Maybelline Fit Me Foundation a light to medium coverage drugstore product, it does get oxides on a hot, humid day post 4-5 hours of application.

Is Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Transfer-Proof?

While Maybelline Fit Me Foundation has a satiny coverage, it is transfer-proof if not locked with loose powder.
